During the afternoon break, Moer went over the math problems that Zhou Ying had previously explained to Sang Fuying.

He drew a diagram on the projection board, omitting all the tedious details, and taught her how to calculate the result in just three steps.

Sang Fuying rubbed her head, looking only half-convinced. "But the process isn't complete this way. You don't get many points if the process isn't complete."

Moer sighed softly. "Just ask yourself if you got the answer and if you learned this method. The biggest danger in advanced mathematics is writing nonsense when you don't know the answer. If you write a long-winded, incorrect process or make various mistakes, it’s far worse than solving it in three steps to get the right answer. Even if you only write the answer without the steps, you’ll still get a couple of points. Right now, you need to think about how to pass your assessments."

Sang Fuying nodded. "I suppose you're right. Thank you for teaching me."

"Focus on passing first, then you can perfect the process later. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me—I know more than just advanced math." Moer’s ear tips turned slightly red as he spoke.

Truth be told, he had never taught anyone before; Sang was the only one. If she were willing to let him teach her, he would do his best to help her succeed.

Furthermore, he had to figure out, before his next bout of mania, whether she was the female who had soothed and marked him in the bunker that day.

He sent a message to his sister: "Can I invite her to our home after school today?"

His friend, whose profile picture was a pink cartoon cat, replied with an abstract eye-rolling sticker, followed by: "Inviting a female over to the house after only knowing her for a few days? Shouldn't you pursue her for a while first?"

He couldn't help but type back: "So, is that why you refused to meet Yuan Feiye for your arranged marriage, because you hadn't met him?"

The other side sent an incredibly furious sticker. "We're talking about you chasing your little female, don't you dare bring up Yuan Feiye! I refuse to be matched with him!"

"Why?"

His sister sent a voice message, which transcribed to: "What did Yuan Feiye ever do for you that you’re acting as his lobbyist in front of your sister? The moment I saw his photo, I knew he was no good—his character is flawed."

Moer felt the same as his sister; they both thought Yuan Feiye’s character left much to be desired. Could someone who sacrificed the lives of civilians on a planet to protect the interests of those in power really be a good person?

"But the female I’m interested in is currently living at Yuan Feiye's house. Based on my conversations with her, I suspect she isn't very close to him."

The implication was clear: why could Yuan Feiye take her home, but he couldn't?

His sister replied with six ellipses, expressing her speechlessness.

"Well, Yuan Feiye! The marriage arrangement with me fell through, and he’s already moved on to the next one, has he? And he even lured her home! Little brother, I support you in stealing her away from him!"

Moer replied: "Okay, then how should I invite her to my house?"

"Tell her your family's cat can do backflips and ask if she wants to come see it."

His sister said it with complete seriousness. Moer felt something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what.

As school was drawing to a close, Moer hesitated for a long time. Finally, in the last minute before the bell, he said to Sang Fuying with a stern and upright tone: "Classmate Sang, my sister says our family's cat can do backflips. Would you like to come and see it?"

This statement, which sounded bizarre no matter how one interpreted it, left Sang Fuying so shocked she didn't know how to respond. Was everyone in the interstellar society this abstract? Before this, she had always thought Moer was a perfectly normal person.

"This... wouldn't that be inappropriate?" Sang Fuying stammered.

The last time she had come here, she didn't know why she ended up at his place, and the events of that day still made her back turn cold when she thought about them. Was it possible that the original owner of her body had been tricked over in just this way?

"There's nothing inappropriate about it; my sister is very hospitable," Moer continued, using his sister as a shield without mentioning himself at all.

"It’s not convenient today. Someone is coming to pick me up, so I have to go. Goodbye." Just then, the dismissal bell rang, and Sang Fuying quickly stood up and left.

A flicker of disappointment crossed Moer’s cool, malachite-colored eyes.

Back home, his sister, wearing a matching pink Hello Kitty dress, held a large bag of potato chips and sat on the spacious sofa, laughing until she had tears in her eyes as she pointed at her melancholic brother. The darker her brother’s face became, the more hysterical Dale’s laughter grew. "Little brother, are you an idiot? I was just teasing you, and you actually said that to her!"

A faint expression of disdain crossed Moer’s handsome face. He shouldn't have trusted this tigress who was obsessed with pink cats.

After the laughter died down, Dale asked curiously, "By the way, is the girl you like very beautiful?"

Moer nodded frankly. "Yes."

"How beautiful?" Dale pressed.

Moer replied without hesitation: "More beautiful than you."

Dale stopped laughing.

From the time she finished dinner outside until she arrived home, Sang Fuying remained restless.

"Are you still feeling unwell today, Yingying?" On the flight ship, Yuan Feiye glanced at the girl in the passenger seat out of the corner of his eye.

"I’m fine."

"Then did something unpleasant happen?" He glanced with interest at the girl's bright, exquisite, yet innocent and clear face. She couldn't hide anything; her thoughts were written all over her face, making her very easy to read.

Sang Fuying didn't mention Moer giving her chocolate or inviting her to see his cat. She only said, "The school has monthly assessments, and if you fail three times, you'll be expelled. I didn't go to school last month, so I already have one zero. This month, I don't understand any of the courses at school."

"Which college did your uncle enroll you in?"

"The Aviation Academy."

Yuan Feiye clicked his tongue in disbelief, grumbling, "Why would he send you to the Aviation Academy? That college is probably filled with males. It has very high requirements for height, physique, physical fitness, and eyesight. Is he planning for you to fly warships and serve as a soldier under him?"

"When Teacher Zhou was tutoring me at noon, he told me that my uncle had asked him to arrange for me to enter St. Ania Federal University. But he couldn't get me into any other college, so he had to put me in the class he teaches. That’s how I ended up in the Aviation Academy."

He turned his head. "Teacher Zhou? Zhou Ying?"

"You know Teacher Zhou too?" Sang Fuying turned to look at Yuan Feiye, her black-and-white doe eyes blinking, her long lashes fluttering like butterfly wings.

Yuan Feiye didn't hold her gaze for long, looking away after just one glance. "I’ve met him a few times and spoken to him, but we aren't very close. However, he and your uncle have a good relationship. No wonder your uncle had him arrange your admission to the Federal University. Why didn't he ask me, though?"

"Maybe my uncle didn't want to trouble you."

Yuan Feiye’s lips curled slightly, his tone teasing, as if speaking to a child. "Then, Yingying, do you want to transfer colleges? Tell me which college you want to go to."
