Volume One, Chapter 20: Give Her a Bath, Unlock New Supplies!

Zhang Xueqi had already witnessed several times how Lin Feng conjured supplies out of thin air; she had long suspected that he possessed spatial abilities. Moreover, the roast chickens he produced each time were steaming hot—there was no other explanation but supernatural power.
Using his “Destiny” ability, Lin Feng keenly sensed that Li Bing’s hostility toward him vanished within seconds, replaced swiftly by growing feelings of friendliness.
He nodded with satisfaction—those who understand the times are truly wise.
“Not bad, I like smart women,” Lin Feng said, reaching out to wipe the pale cheeks of Li Bing.
“Don’t move around, I’ll untie your mouth,” he warned.
With a ripping sound, he tore off the transparent tape sealing Li Bing’s mouth, pulling out a few strands of her long hair in the process.
Li Bing shuddered in pain but gritted her teeth to keep silent. Then Lin Feng pulled out a stocking from her mouth.
“Ugh, ugh...” This time Li Bing couldn’t hold back and gagged.
She was relieved that the fishnet stocking had just been unpacked today and worn only briefly; otherwise, she feared she would have truly vomited.
Lin Feng casually tossed the roast chicken onto the ground.
“Eat. Regain some strength; I’ll have something for you to do later.”
Li Bing had no mind to ponder what might come next. Her eyes were fixed solely on the fragrant roast chicken on the floor, her throat involuntarily swallowing.
She struggled to lift her head, voice trembling with a plea:
“Can... you loosen my hands? I can’t eat like this.”
“No, you have to eat it this way.”
Lin Feng showed no intention of releasing her.
“You... how can you be like this? How am I supposed to eat lying on the ground?” Li Bing whined, her tone tinged with coquettishness.
A cold smile flickered at the corner of Lin Feng’s mouth.
You think you can deal with me like you did Wang Tao?
He stomped on the roast chicken, crushing it, then threw it out the window.
“Better now? Your lunch is gone.”
Li Bing was stunned, only reacting after a few seconds.
This devil of a man was utterly beyond her control.
He and Wang Tao were not even in the same league.
No longer the sycophantic fool played around by Wang Xiaoli.
Immediately, Li Bing changed her approach, tears streaming down her face as she put on a pitiful expression, her voice choked with sobs.
“Lin... Feng, I was wrong, I’m sorry, please just let me have a bite.”

This woman’s reaction was quite fast.
Lin Feng extended his hand again, and another roast chicken with golden-brown skin appeared out of thin air.
“Want some?”
“Yes, I want some, thank you, Feng Ge!” Li Bing’s eyes were full of anticipation as she stared intently at the roast chicken, swallowing hard.
Lin Feng tossed the roast chicken onto the ground once more.
Just as Li Bing painfully moved closer, about to taste the delicacy, Lin Feng stomped on it, crushing it, then flung it out the window.
“Sorry, I always keep my word. Your lunch is truly gone.”
Li Bing’s gaze went blank as she stared at the spot where the roast chicken disappeared outside.
The hunger clawing at her brought sharp pain to her stomach, as if countless ants were gnawing inside.
A devil!
This man was a devil!
Her heart wailed incessantly, but she dared not voice it, nor show it on her face.
She bit her lip, letting tears silently fall.
“Sorry...” she murmured, her voice trembling as she lay motionless on the floor like a tamed lamb.
After this incident, she fully understood that this man was absolutely beyond her control.
If she wanted to eat, to survive, she had no choice but to obey.
Lin Feng sensed Li Bing’s growing goodwill through “Destiny” and nodded contentedly.
“You should have done this from the start.”
He bent down and untied the ropes and stockings binding Li Bing.
Then he took out over fifty bottles of mineral water from the super warehouse, neatly arranged on the floor.
“Go brush your teeth. Even if you haven’t eaten, some things can’t be neglected.”
Li Bing understood Lin Feng’s meaning; her cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she awkwardly picked up a bottle.
The tap water at home had been blocked by mutated plants these past few days, and she hadn’t brushed her teeth for two days.
She hadn’t expected that even someone as pretty as herself would one day be disliked by a man.
Lin Feng had originally planned to take Li Bing to unlock supplies first.
But seeing her pale lips and the traces of makeup on her face, he guessed the taste might not be pleasant and discarded the idea.
He turned to Zhang Xueqi.
“Go boil some hot water and help her take a bath later.”
“Ah? I... I can do it myself,” Li Bing hurriedly waved her hand, panic flashing in her eyes.
Her body hadn’t been seen by a man yet; did she have to be seen by a woman first?
“Don’t talk nonsense. I said you’re going. Sooner or later, it’s going to happen anyway.”
Lin Feng shot her a glare, his tone laced with impatience.

Li Bing immediately lowered her head, avoiding eye contact, and obediently went to brush her teeth and wash her face.
Half an hour later, Wang Tao, his head fuzzy, suddenly woke up hanging on the balcony.
He instantly understood what had happened, his eyes bloodshot, expression ferocious.
He twisted his body wildly, trying to break free from the ropes.
But his leg bones were broken, and every movement brought excruciating pain.
No matter how he struggled, it was useless.
“Lin Feng! I’m going to kill you!” Wang Tao gritted his teeth, letting out a beast-like roar.
Two hours later.
Li Bing curled up on the sofa, tear stains still visible at the corners of her eyes.
From here, she could still see the unmoving figure of her fiancé, Wang Tao.
Yet she had traded her body to another man.
But instead of regret, Li Bing felt relief.
Lin Feng possessed supernatural powers and could produce steaming roast chickens.
He had formidable strength, capable of easily defeating mutated big dogs.
Combined with how he dealt with her and Wang Tao.
From every angle, following Lin Feng was the best choice.
In this household, perhaps official aid would eventually arrive.
Lin Feng lay comfortably on the nearby sofa.
He had to admit, the feeling Li Bing gave him could be summed up in one word: smooth.
But that was not the point. He immediately checked the system for newly unlocked supplies.
[Congratulations, host has taken in new resident!
Successfully unlocked new supply: Supernatural Fruit!
Consuming it has a chance to upgrade existing supernatural abilities; the more you eat, the higher the chance of advancement!
Giving it to others only grants physical enhancement abilities!
Supernatural Fruit +1 has been stored in the super warehouse.
Supernatural Fruit +1 has been stored in the super warehouse...]
Seeing the system notification, Lin Feng jumped up, his face glowing with joy.
He hadn’t expected to unlock infinite supernatural fruits!
Although they could only enhance existing abilities, this was still a way to increase power.
Lin Feng, now without worries about food or drink, had long wanted to acquire more supernatural fruits.
There were some on the great tree shrouded in the white mist outside, but a giant snake guarded that spot.
Moreover, he wasn’t confident he could handle the numerous mutated creatures lurking in the mist.
