Chapter 18: There Will Always Be Foolish Tycoons Who Believe in Us! ^_^

The first thing Qian Qi did after getting the money was to purchase a secondhand stone grinder she had long had her eye on.
After a series of grinding, blending, adding additives, grinding again, and sieving, Qian Qi finally produced the hemostatic magical medicine.
“Can this stuff really stop bleeding instantly?”
Shaking the glass cup with the white powder inside, Qian Qi looked toward the system.
[Why don’t you just cut yourself and see? ^_^]
Qian Qi: …
“I trust you,” she said seriously. “If I were to cut myself, that would be a sign of distrust toward you!”
[Heh heh.]
Qian Qi picked up several small sealed bags from the table and carefully filled each with 10 grams of the hemostatic powder. She had already decided where to sell these hemostatic medicines. At the Awakener University, awakened students frequently held duel challenges, which often resulted in bleeding incidents. The campus hospital was crowded every day.
She had initially planned to set up a stall at the hospital entrance, but fearing she might be chased away by hospital staff, she pondered and finally decided it would be better to sell the medicine right where the incidents happened.
Half an hour later, Qian Qi stood before the Combat Arena of the Skills Department, carrying a cardboard box and a small stool.
If you asked where the most frequent “bleeding incidents” occurred, the Combat Arena of the Skills Department would surely top the list.
Students awakened with various skills often dueled here to improve their strength, but since they rarely controlled the force of their attacks, injuries and bleeding were inevitable.
Of course, many students in the Skills Department came from wealthy families, which was the most important factor.
Qian Qi found a prime spot and placed the box full of hemostatic powders on the ground. It was a box she had scavenged from the trash behind the hospital and was still almost new; it weighed enough to be sold for at least twenty cents.
Sitting down on the small stool, crossing her legs, she loudly called out:
“Look here~ Take a look~ Qian Qi brand hemostatic medicine, stops bleeding in one second, everyone who buys it praises it~”
“Don’t miss out as you pass by~ No need for 99, no need for 88, only 998, take it home immediately~”
“Earth-shattering bargain sale! Students, look here, even severed limbs can stop bleeding instantly~”
Seeing a student stop curiously as he passed by, Qian Qi quickly stood and enthusiastically introduced the product. “Hey there, buying this won’t make you lose out or get cheated. This hemostatic medicine stops bleeding in one second—it’s absolutely a lifesaver to keep at home!”
“One second to stop bleeding? That’s a bit exaggerated,” the student shook his head. “I don’t believe it.”
Qian Qi rolled her eyes and sat back on the small stool, crossing her legs with a cool demeanor. “You clearly don’t know much and have never heard of my reputation. In our Magical Botany Department, this hemostatic medicine is hard to come by. Even big shots outside fight over it... hm!”
She cunningly paused, “If it weren’t for my strong love for my fellow students, I wouldn’t even bother selling it to you all first... hm!”

Seeing Qian Qi put on a convincing act, the student was a little tempted. He asked, “So how much is it?”
“A fixed price, only 998, I’ll wrap it up for you to take home immediately!” Qian Qi slapped her thigh and gave him a flirtatious eyebrow raise.
“…That’s way too expensive! Just a small bag for a thousand bucks?” The student immediately took two steps back upon hearing the price, shook his head, and walked away.
As he left, he muttered, “With that money, I might as well get treated at the campus hospital! One-second hemostasis sounds like a gimmick!”
“Tsk, this is something that can save your life on the spot. A thousand bucks isn’t expensive at all!” Qian Qi muttered under her breath. Turning to the system, she comforted, “System, don’t be sad. It’s not that our product is bad; it’s that they don’t recognize quality!”
[…Thanks, but you’re the one who’s upset, not me.]
“There will be some clueless rich kids who’ll believe in us!” Qian Qi ignored the system’s reply and continued encouraging herself, “I refuse to believe I won’t sell even one pack today!”
Qian Qi kept shouting various sales pitches, attracting many passersby to stop and watch, but after hearing the efficacy and the price, they all laughed scornfully.
“Crazy for money, huh? Passing off ordinary hemostatic medicine as one-second medicine and charging such a high price.”
“Exactly, even with current medical technology, one-second hemostasis is impossible. This girl is just full of hot air.”
“Oh, come on, you all know the Magical Botany Department is full of broke lunatics. Think we’re some rich kids~”
The students from the Skills Department burst out laughing and were soon distracted by a fight about to begin in the arena, exclaiming, “Let’s go see, someone’s fighting again!”
After half a day, people came and went at the Combat Arena, but Qian Qi didn’t sell a single pack of medicine.
[Qian Qi, don’t be sad. It’s not that our product is bad; they just don’t recognize quality. ^_^]
Qian Qi: …
[There will definitely be some clueless rich kids who’ll believe in us! ^_^]
Qian Qi: …
[We’ll definitely sell at least one pack! ^_^]
Qian Qi: …
Damn it, sooner or later she was going to chew up the system.
Actually, Qian Qi knew very well that if she was willing to cut herself and demonstrate the hemostatic medicine’s effect in front of everyone, many would be willing to pay a high price.
But…
One pack cost 998 bucks! She felt heartbroken! She couldn’t bear to do it!

Yet no one was willing to spend money being her guinea pig!
Damn it!
Couldn’t a wealthy guinea pig just fall from the sky and let her cut once!
While Qian Qi shamelessly prayed for this, at the East Gate of Awakener University:
A sleek, pure black, wheel-less hovercar stopped at the school gate, and a young man dressed in black stepped out.
The youth was strikingly handsome, clad in a long black coat. His silver hair shimmered in the sunlight like silver willow branches, and his dark, deep eyes held a faint aura of aloofness. Though young, he radiated a cold, ruthless air that made others wary.
Upon seeing a middle-aged man waiting to receive him at the gate, the youth’s thin lips parted slightly. “Principal.”
“We’ve been waiting for you,” the principal’s face broke into a tender smile at the sight of the youth. “Have the monsters in Zone D all been cleared? How’s the situation?”
“Hm. All the monsters have been eliminated. Two Grade D Awakeners died, eight Grade E Awakeners, and seventeen civilians,” the youth responded flatly, as if reciting cold data, showing no emotion.
The principal fell silent for a moment, then turned to lead the youth into the campus.
“These Grade D monsters emerged unexpectedly this time. Fortunately, you were nearby, or there could have been even more casualties,” the principal said thoughtfully, then comforted, “You did your best.”
The youth nodded. “No need to comfort me, Principal. I’m used to it.”
The principal chuckled knowingly. Of course, he knew his consolation was unnecessary. Su Ang was his student, raised on battlefields alongside his father, long accustomed to death.
Just as he was about to change the subject, a piercing, heart-wrenching voice suddenly rang out like a trumpet blasting right into the principal’s ear.
“Students! One-second hemostatic medicine! Absolutely no side effects, guaranteed genuine!”
“Only 998! Even the King of Hell would pretend to be blind when he sees this—”
The principal frowned and turned his head to see who was so brazenly disturbing the campus atmosphere. It was Qian Qi, gripping a boy tightly, wildly pushing her product.
“Why did she come to the Skills Department?” The principal recognized Qian Qi; after all, she had skipped classes too many times and often fought and damaged fellow students’ magical plants, prompting several teachers to jointly report her to him.
He had once summoned Qian Qi for a talk, warning her that if she caused more trouble, she would face expulsion.
“Tsk, this student was always fighting before, and now she’s resorting to fraud and deception,” the principal frowned.
Hearing this, Su Ang glanced toward Qian Qi’s direction.
