"I understand now... it’s the gravitational fluctuations caused by this spaceship, combined with their signal interference, that disabled our hyperspace diverter," Quinto murmured. "In my life, I’ve never seen a ship this large... Is this really a spaceship? Or is it a space station?"

"The question now is why such a colossal vessel would appear on the outskirts of Endo," Ferasi said, growing frustrated. "If that's the case, could it be that Kenneth and the other two..."

"Our communications have been completely cut off," Spade said from behind.

"That’s for sure. What level of energy does the other side possess? And what about us? Even the simplest electromagnetic interference would be enough to render us blind and deaf," Quinto resignedly admitted, collapsing back into his seat.

At that moment, the hangar bay doors in the center of the massive ship opened, and more than a dozen small fighters flew out, heading straight toward them.

"They haven’t fired directly yet, so I guess they still want to talk. Let’s just surrender. I think the faction that owns such a huge ship won’t bother a few small fries like us... Listen, when the time comes, stay composed and don’t be intimidated. We have to let them know we’re not pushovers," Quinto advised.

"No problem. Watch me," Ferasi whispered.

Guided by the fighters, Ferasi piloted their ship into the enormous hangar bay entrance. Even the entrance alone was immense. Looking at the empty hangar platform, Ferasi whispered, "This hangar is big enough to dock a Republic Judicial Fleet cruiser! What a big investment!"

After parking the ship, just as they stepped out of the cabin, they saw a squad of fully armed soldiers lining up outside. Each soldier was stocky and broad-shouldered, their eyes sharp—clearly elite troops far superior to the loose-disciplined Galactic Republic soldiers Quinto and the others were used to seeing.

As the three of them disembarked, the soldiers simultaneously pulled their rifle bolts back with a sharp click—a blatant threat.

Ferasi shuddered, raised her hands, and immediately dropped to her knees. Looking back, she saw Quinto and Spade had knelt down even faster, their hands behind their heads in a perfectly standard pose.

Tang Xiao watched the three kneeling figures through surveillance, sweat trickling down his temple. He turned to Qi Jian and said, "I guess... these three are from the same group as the three we caught earlier?"

"I think so too," Qi Jian nodded. "Administrator, no need for guesswork—these are smugglers. They’re involved in all sorts of dirty business. Capturing and executing them on the spot wouldn’t be unjust."

"Bring them over for interrogation. I have questions to ask," Tang Xiao ordered.

The three were soon escorted by marines to the bridge, where Tang Xiao communicated with them through a translation robot. The information gained was sparse; these smugglers clearly had no interest in the political affairs of the galaxy—they only cared about their profits.

The middle-aged man named Dubrak Quinto was the leader of this small smuggling gang. The woman beside him, Mars Ferasi, who still had some charm, was his partner. They mainly worked for the Hutt clan around the Tatooine system, frequently traveling to Endo to gather beast pelts and precious stones for sale.

"Hutts, huh..." Tang Xiao stroked his chin, feeling the matter was complex.

The Hutts were an ancient species in the galaxy, looking somewhat like giant slugs. Despite their repulsive appearance, as descendants of the ancient Hutt Empire, they possessed deep-rooted power and still maintained a formidable fleet.

After the Hutt Empire was nominally absorbed by the Galactic Republic, the Hutts funneled their influence into underground enterprises.

To put it bluntly, every Hutt was essentially a crime lord—and an extremely wealthy one at that.

Tang Xiao waved his hand, ordering the soldiers to take Quinto and the others to prison. He continued analyzing their language and wrote the word "Hutt" in his interface, which mapped timelines and influence spheres.

At that moment, a message came from the mainframe: [Administrator, we have met the awakening conditions for a legendary figure. He can be awakened immediately.]

"A legendary figure? The conditions were met so easily?" Tang Xiao was momentarily stunned.

He quickly pulled up the character interface. Indeed, among the legendary figures, one name was lit up, indicating his willingness to be awakened and allegiance to Tang Xiao.

"Name: Trent, explorer, skilled in interpersonal relations, smuggling, piloting, and ship modification," Tang Xiao read aloud. "Awakening condition: a grand stage and an excellent ship."

This condition, while it sounded difficult, was actually quite flexible—meaning this person didn’t mind when he was awakened. What he sought was adventure.

Although the details were sparse, Tang Xiao already knew who this was.

Trent! The protagonist of Freedom Gunslinger!

"Awaken him. Have him come see me immediately," Tang Xiao ordered. Then, reconsidering, he added, "No, I’ll go to the medical bay to see him."

He headed straight to the medical bay, where he found a sturdy man in a leather jacket undergoing a physical exam. The man had golden hair, a handsome face, and a bit of stubble—a seasoned individual whose life was written all over him.

Seeing Tang Xiao, he waved familiarly. "Hey, Administrator. You came to see me personally? I’m flattered! I’m Trent. Looks like our colony is thriving under your leadership."

"You know, we are in a very complex and dangerous universe, with possibly thousands of intelligent species and intricate political landscapes. So I can’t afford to slack off, and it’s precisely when I need you," Tang Xiao said. "I’ve just captured a spaceship. It’s yours now." He extended his hand to shake Trent’s.

"Haha, I already saw the ship’s info on the core computer. It’s a fine ship. I can’t wait to dive into this stage," Trent laughed heartily.

He seemed naturally affable, easily blending with others. After chatting with Tang Xiao for a while, he shifted the conversation to the nurse nearby. He was witty and humorous, telling a few jokes that had the nurse giggling uncontrollably.

But Tang Xiao wasn’t impressed by Trent’s charm. His heart was pounding with excitement. Although Trent wasn’t famous, his abilities were undoubtedly exceptional! As a citizen of Britannia in the game, he once thwarted a Nomad invasion, saving the Sirius sector from war.

He had once roamed alone in space, starting from nothing, participating in countless wars and foiling numerous conspiracies. Eventually, he even piloted a ship into a dragon’s lair, killing straight through to the Nomads’ main nest to seize their core. He single-handedly challenged an entire interstellar species!

Throughout this, his piloting skills, intelligence, courage, adaptability, and diplomatic finesse among various factions fully deserved the title of legend!

Now that he had joined, Tang Xiao’s plans could proceed smoothly.

After some time chatting in the medical pod, Trent completed his checkup, confirming his condition was fine after cryo-sleep. He soon finished, bid Tang Xiao farewell, and went to the hangar to inspect the YT-1000 light freighter.

Indeed, since entering the mothership, the ship had taken on Tang’s name, and Tang Xiao had immediately handed it over to Trent.
