Afternoon, at the gates of the Celestial Evolution Sect.

He stood tall and graceful in a long blue robe embroidered with green patterns, his features delicate and gentle, waiting for her with an air of quiet elegance.

“Is it just the two of us?” Qu Yiqiu approached and asked.

Chi Yushu replied in his warm, soothing voice, “There are five in our team. The other three have already gone ahead to prevent any unexpected changes.”

Qu Yiqiu nodded in understanding.

“How are we getting there?”

“We’ll take the teleportation array in Mingde City. The sect will cover the cost,” Chi Yushu answered as he summoned his spirit artifact, the Azure Chime Sword.

The sword hovered three inches above the ground, transforming into a broad blade wide enough to carry two people.

Chi Yushu leapt onto the tip of the sword first, turning his head to say, “This way will be faster.”

Without hesitation, Qu Yiqiu jumped onto the blade. “Let’s go, I’m ready.”

Chi Yushu inclined his head slightly, brought two fingers together, and pointed upward. The Azure Chime Sword soared into the sky, a faint golden haze enveloping them both.

In a matter of moments, Chi Yushu brought her to the entrance of the teleportation array.

The place was heavily guarded, with a sentry every ten paces, all scrutinizing the arrivals with the utmost vigilance.

By the time they passed through the layers of inspection and reached the innermost array, Chi Yushu had already verified his identity five times.

It was Qu Yiqiu’s first time witnessing such a grand display, and she mused inwardly that the teleportation array was indeed a marvelous thing.

“Where are you headed?” The array overseer asked sternly, his face grave.

Chi Yushu produced a letter from his pouch and handed it over.

After reading the letter with due solemnity, the overseer took out a two-inch token and activated the array’s protective shield. “Go in.”

Qu Yiqiu followed Chi Yushu into the teleportation array.

She watched as the overseer placed his hand on a jade platform shaped like a five-pointed star. Instantly, five-colored spiritual lights rose around the array.

Before her eyes, hundreds of high-grade spirit stones silently vanished without a trace.

A flash of white light. In the instant of transmission, Qu Yiqiu had only one thought: teleportation is so costly!

The thought barely lingered before they arrived in the mortal realm, in the Yuan Kingdom.

Qu Yiqiu looked around curiously. Embedded in the rough stone walls were a few mundane luminous pearls, casting a faint glow throughout the chamber.

Were there an ancient coffin here, anyone would have mistaken this for a tomb.

“This is a one-way teleportation array. Outside is an abandoned temple. Our destination is Tianchen Town; once outside, we’ll need to fly the rest of the way,” Chi Yushu explained patiently.

Qu Yiqiu nodded, signaling her understanding.

The two of them twisted and turned through the passageway, finally emerging from behind the remains of a shattered deity statue.

Chi Yushu extended his divine sense to ensure no one else was near, then summoned the Azure Chime Sword once more.

They stepped onto the sword, and with a flash of azure light, became a streak soaring into the sky.

Tianchen Town.

Night had fallen, and the sky was dotted with stars.

Qu Yiqiu and Chi Yushu lodged at the town’s only inn, gazing out at the night.

“Are members of the Mysterious Intent Sect staying here as well?” Qu Yiqiu turned to look at him.

Chi Yushu’s gentle profile was even more refined in the moonlight. He replied softly, “I’m not sure, but we can’t let our guard down.”

Qu Yiqiu lazily shifted her position, leaning against the window as she surveyed the square courtyard.

This matter concerned the honor of both sects. In pursuit of victory, disciples from either side might resort to underhanded means.

Chi Yushu’s cautiousness was precisely to her liking.

As the night deepened, Qu Yiqiu fell asleep in her bed.

Chi Yushu sat cross-legged in a corner, quietly cultivating.

The night passed without incident.

A streak of blue light flashed swiftly across the azure sky above Tianchen Town.

Chi Yushu and Qu Yiqiu landed in a mountain hollow.

Verdant mountains stretched out in undulating waves, forming the shape of a gourd.

Chi Yushu extended his divine sense, scanning every inch of the surroundings.

“It seems they went to the ancient demonic array. There’s no trace of them here.”

He referred to their three other teammates. This had originally been their temporary base.

“Let’s hurry, then. I don’t want to make this trip in vain and let the Mysterious Intent Sect get ahead.” Qu Yiqiu had come for the sect’s reward.

Chi Yushu nodded and leapt onto a large boulder. “It’s not safe to fly here. The ancient demonic array isn’t far. We can walk.”

“Alright,” Qu Yiqiu agreed.

They spoke no more, each employing their movement techniques to weave through the green wilderness.

In a grove where a small stream meandered,

Chi Yushu and his teammates finally reunited.

“Senior Brother, you’re finally here… Hey, Junior Sister Qu…” Wu Qiu’s eyes widened.

“Wow, Senior Brother, you actually found Junior Sister Qu. This mission might yet be saved!” the young woman exclaimed, her voice full of excitement.

In the cultivation world, there were no ugly people, but still those whose beauty stood out. Qu Yiqiu and her master, Mo Qingli, were among the finest.

Seeing only these two, Chi Yushu realized the Mysterious Intent Sect had also found a beautiful woman.

“Did the Mysterious Intent Sect make their move?” he asked.

Wu Qiu snapped out of his daze, hurriedly nodding. “Huo Tangsheng of the Mysterious Intent Sect somehow found a seductive woman. She’s outside the cave right now, swaying her hips!”

Chi Yushu frowned. “That woman may not succeed. Let’s have Junior Sister Qu try.”

“Yes, yes! Junior Sister Qu, hurry up! With your looks, you’ll surely outshine her!” The girl, clearly impatient, pulled Qu Yiqiu forward.

Qu Yiqiu thought to herself that she wasn’t ready to seduce anyone yet, and now she was being pushed on stage?

Watching them go, Wu Qiu hesitated. “Senior Brother, Junior Sister Qu is only fifteen—does she even know how to… how to lure a demon?”

Chi Yushu gazed ahead, his voice quiet but confident. “She only needs to stand there. The demon will appear for sure. Let’s go—we can’t let it escape again!”

Wu Qiu scratched his head and hurried after them.

Pulled along by the girl, Qu Yiqiu learned her name was Luo Yingying. The teammate guarding the ancient array was Lin Yaoxing.

Luo Yingying dragged her into a crouch in the grass, peering down at the graceful woman below. “See her? That’s your competition. She has a good figure, but she’s got a vulgar allure, nothing like your immortal charm. If you go, you’ll definitely outshine her!”

Luo Yingying gripped her hand in excitement.

Through the gaps in the grass, Qu Yiqiu glimpsed the woman’s face.

Dressed in red, her beauty was striking, every gesture captivating and enchanting. As she lifted her sleeves, her proud chest was displayed without reservation.

Luo Yingying and Qu Yiqiu watched, unable to look away, both swallowing hard.

They were entirely different types of beauties.

“What are you doing over there? Hurry up! I found a small path on the side. Junior Sister Qu, dance here and see if you can lure the demon!” Lin Yaoxing called in a low voice, waving to them from not far away.

Luo Yingying and Qu Yiqiu exchanged a glance, hunched over, and jogged over to him.
